Jacob Dubois
Jacob was once a career soldier who is struggleing to come to terms with the loss
As well as the death of his finacee
The horrors he witnessed in Bosnia
Jacob suffers from debilitating nightmares mostly having to do with find an abandoned torture chamber in Bosnia
As well as burial duty while in Bosnia, the job entailed pulling bodies from minefields and buring them
the thing he remebers the most about burial duty was pulling the remains of a six year old child
A child that had been placed in a minefileds on purpose
Added to this was the detrimental treatment he recieved from Col. Phillip Harding which helped to re-enforce his paranoia and anger
Wendy Standish
Wendy is a headstrong and deterimeined young woman.
This is a cover to the fact that she is also tormented by her past
Her father is in a self induced coma in a hospital
Her mother's career is more important than either Wendy or her father
She ran away from home at the age of 15 and spent a year living on the streets
She left after a good friend was murdered by a pimp
Wendy has buried 12 of her friends that's tweleve that she can count
She is currently studying to become a pyscologist
She is drawn to Jacob at first as a case study in human behaviour
later she realizes that they have a lot more in common than either will admit
Col. Phillip Harding
Col. Phillip Harding is a borderline pyschopath
He blames Jacob for the death of his only daughter
He has been part of a balckmail and extortion ring for a very long time
Col. Harding is not a nice man but he is very intellegent
Added to his blueblood upbringing he will never dirty his own hands
However though if there is something he can take credit for he will
That is if it will aid him in any capaicity
Sgt. Fowler
Sgt. Fowler is a very insecure man
Fowler is a racist in every sence of the word
Fowler lives by one simple rule
Everyone has the right to exsist...just not near decent white folks
Fowler is about average intellegnece and extremely loyal to Col. harding
Fowler believes that Col. Harding is what everyone should look up to and emulate
Fowler also believes in a rigid class system with minorities bieng at the bottom
Sgt. Clark
Sgt. Clark is an african american undercover police officer
Clark has spent the last two years chasing a mad man (Col. Harding)
Clark is a dedicated police officer who left his wife and young son for this assignment
Clark is tired and wnats out however he has one small lead to follow up
While at the same time he is trying to find a way out by tormenting Fowler
Dr. Gray
Dr. Gray is the doctor that is helping Jacob
A former Vietman vet who keeps his medals in a locked box in the bottom of a cabinet
Gray is the one who listens to jacob when no one else will
